Machine Shop Helper perform daily shop tasks assuring high quality, and efficient production. This position is critical to our production operation through our sheet metal shop .
Perform quality checks on sheet metal parts at different stages through the process.
Follow written and verbal work instructions.
Work using both in the metric as well as the U.S. standard units of measure.
Set up, operate and/or maintain production equipment, machines and tools using process documents, diagrams, and written instructions in support of production goals.
Use a variety of machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments to lay out stock for machining.
Inspect incoming raw parts from outside vendors as necessary.
Collect, analyze, and report data from production processes requiring basic mathematical and statistical knowledge.
Perform duties using regular test equipment in accordance with prescribed procedures, practices, and specifications.
Communicate effectively, troubleshoot, and use good judgment when resolving problems.
Determines material, parts, and equipment required.
Other tasks as assigned.
1-2 years of related experience (preferred)
Working knowledge of measuring tools.
Attention to detail.
Basic shop mathematics skills.
Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.
Previous machine shop experience.
