Autoliv Brigham City Facility PRODUCTION ASSOCIATES - openings on swing (1:45pm-10pm) and grave (9:45pm-6am) shifts ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Under the direction of a Supervisor/AMT Leader,a Production Associate is required to safely operate several machines at once and performs other related operations and tasks in the production of airbag inflators or their component parts. Duties include making sure a quality product is produced for delivery to the customer. The position also includes the responsibility to maintain a clean work area and training/instructing others, as required. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Position Requires: *Ability to work 8 to 12 hour shifts. *Consistent attendance and the ability to work overtime. *Ability to communicate effectively with others. *Ability to work approximately 5 to 10 hours per shift using continuous repetitive motion with hands, arms, feet, legs: standing, lateral movement, lateral reaching, forward reaching, twisting or rotating *neck: twisting/turning/pivoting of knees: power grip of 30 lbs.: pinch grip of 10 lbs.: and lifting up to 30 lbs. *Ability to work approximately 2.5 to 6.5 hours per shift walking- and rotating the back. *Ability to work approximately 1 to 3.5 hours per shift bending forward, reaching shoulder height, climbing/stairs, pushing/pulling 25 lbs. and reaching overhead. *Ability to work approximately 1 hour per shift squatting, kneeling, crawling and using hand tools. *Demonstrated ability to read and write English and perform simple math calculations. *Ability to comprehend and follow all Company policies and procedures. *Ability to understand and correctly complete necessary Company paperwork. *Ability to perform tasks quickly working to a pitch demand associated with customer demand. *Ability to work well with others in a team environment. *Ability to problem solve and implement continuous improvement ideas. *Ability to perform basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines. *Ability to work in close proximity with others; close working conditions. *Ability to work with and around pyro-technic materials. *Ability to handle all inflators and components thereof with a weight of approximately 5 lbs. each. *Ability to visually detect production defects and identify color coded indicators. *Ability to handle and work with explosive chemicals in a safe manner. *Ability to continuously interact and monitor computer screens located approximately at 68 to 72 inches above the floor.
