Description
ACT Aerospace in Gunnison, Utah is looking for an experienced programmer in Catia who can help with a short-term bottleneck in programming required for post-machining/part trim. Long-Term growth opportunity available.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Programming of CNC Milling and Turning machines.
Good understanding of Manufacturing practices in a Machine Shop environment.
Designs Jigs, Fixtures and tooling to aid in the production of machined components.
Mentoring/Training of machine shop employees.
Continuous Process Improvement.
Optimization of existing machine programs.
Correction and updating of set-up sheets and tool lists.
Monitor machine operation to prevent mechanical and quality problems.
Follow safety rules and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum five years CNC Programming and operations experience.
Good understanding of sequence of operations to insure the quality of final product.
Read and interpret complex blueprints.
Advanced shop math and theory.
Follow safety rules and regulations.
Good understanding of cutting tool selection for machining operations.
Perform part program verification through software simulation.
Editing of machining programs at the controller.
Write basic to complex machining programs.
Calculation of speeds and feeds.
Perform precision threading and related calculations.
Set-Up and use precision measuring equipment to .0001 tolerances.
Understanding of RA, RMS and cosmetics with respect to surface finishes.
Experience with Mastercam
Experience with Fanuc controllers is a plus
EDUCATION:
- Trade school graduate OR equivalent related experience
