Our machining department consists of large and small CNC mills and lathes, including 4 and 5 axis machines, wire and sinker EDM, waterjet as well as manual mills and lathes. We provide ongoing opportunities for our machinist to grow their skills and values. Wages are based on the value you can provide to the company as well as your ability to learn and grow. We are dynamic shop specializing in small quantity, quick turnaround precision parts, utilizing a wide range of materials. Expectations of out machinist include: *Be on time to work, ready to work with positive attitude *Create machining programs using conversational controllers and Gibbs Cam *Program, set up, and operate, various CNC machines *Ability to read blueprints and schematics, take raw material to a quality finished part *Operate hand and power tools to deburr precision and complex machined parts *Visually inspect parts for burrs or damaged machined surfaces *Ability to use measuring instruments such as gages, calipers, micrometers and comparators *Routinely maintain equipment to ensure cleanliness, accuracy, and reliability *Ability of working knowledge of properties of metals and other material *Maintain a clean and orderly work area *Work well with others in a team environment *Identify problems and uses logic, judgement, data to evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions to achieve the desired goal and outcome *We are craftsmen and are responsible for quality work and conformance to specifications *Observe all company policies and procedures, including safety rules A good machinist needs to possess manual dexterity and an eye for detail. They must also have knowledge of mathematics and mechanics as well as respect for safety precautions. Qualifications: High School Graduate or equivalent Vocational Certificate from Machining School or degree in related field Minimum 2 years of machining experience
