Our job is to supply the tools and services - the pots, pans, soups and sauces - they need to work better, faster and safer, leading to better patient outcomes.What you’ll doThe Distribution Supervisor provides direct leadership and accountability for warehouse teams and is responsible and accountable for managing incoming raw materials and/or finished goods. They support material delivery to external and internal customers for multiple distribution sites. They must ensure the accuracy of inventory, inspection of packaging & labelling requirements (and remediation if defective) and timely execution of shipments. This role may also include at peak times: offloading/loading of vehicles, receipt of goods, positioning in racks, and physical order preparation.This position will support all warehouse areas for 2nd and 3rd shift. The regular schedule will be M-F 4pm-1am.Key Responsibilities include:Provide a safe work environment for our employees and visiting business partners.Ensure the facilities and equipment are clean and able to support our customers and employeesEnsure a safe work environment and site security for multiple distribution facilitiesChampion our core valuesProvide the Distribution team with clear goals, objectives and performance feedback, coaching and developing direct reports to improve the culture of the team and site.Manage staffing levels in order to meet business delivery and cost goalsEnsure associates deliver high quality products to our customersCreate a culture of communication and engagement right across the distribution team to drive change and gain commitmentBuild strong operational teams, using change management tools and employee feedbackMeet or exceed on-time shipment metrics by reducing the pick and pack cycle time to deliver product in high-quality conditionImplement lean principals that drive productivity and enhance cash utilizationChampion the full utilization of our ERP system, realize the full system benefits for both internal optimization and communication to customersDeliver the key operational metricsDrive cost reduction through productivity improvements, resource efficiency, and automationContribute to lean implementation to convert “tribal” knowledge into systematized toolsDraft and recommend Work Instruction Document (WID) changes / additions required to meet operational activitiesMaintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and discipline through the teamQuickly resolve process defects thru robust A3 problem-solvingDrive process improvement with data driven decisionsWho you areBachelor’s degree OR high school diploma plus 4 years of warehousing experienceForklift truck license (or ability to acquire one, can be obtained on the job)3 years of experience supervising/leading teamProven ability leading teams under stressful circumstancesComputer skills – preferred experience using a Warehouse Management Systems and using Excel to prepare business presentations and manage spreadsheetsDesired CharacteristicsBachelor’s DegreeWarehouse managementMaterial Management System experience (e.g., Oracle).CDL/HGV driving licenseGreen Belt Lean CertifiedWho we areWhatever your role, we bring purpose and challenge into our everyday work.
