CENTRAL VALLEY MACHINE INC Machinist, Level II, Swing shift Emp. in LOGAN, Utah

Hours Required: M-TH 2:30pm - 12:30am (non negotiable) Summary A Machinist Level II is able to setup and operate a variety of machines uses company supplied resources. They are a craftsman and are responsible for their quality of work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities *Load material in machine. Start machine and observe cutting operation *Make offsets independently to finish the set up process *Set up and replaces tools without supervision *Post and load programs into the machine *Compare numerical data display with specifications on operations sheet *Adjust tool lengths and fixture offsets if required *Monitor tooling usage for maximum cost effectiveness *Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the part. Authorized to stop processes to ensure quality *Responsible for machine turnovers to adjacent shift operators andmiddot; Follow direction from team lead, shop foreman, and general manager in order to facilitate work processes andmiddot; Maintain a clean work space and properly clean and maintain work equipment Qualifications andmiddot; 4 years of machining experience andmiddot; 1 year of Mastercam experience andmiddot; High school diploma or equivalent andmiddot; Completion of a Machining program at an accredited trade school Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Interpersonal Skills - focuses on solving conflict; maintains confidentiality; listens to others without interrupting; remains open to others' ideas and tries new things Detail Oriented andndash; double-checks the accuracy of information and work product to provide accurate and consistent work; expresses concern that things be done right, thoroughly, or precisely; completes all work according to procedures and standards Ethics - inspires the trust of others; works with integrity and upholds organizational values Problem Solving - Identifies problems and uses logic, judgment, and data to evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions to achieve the desired organizational goal or outcome Judgment - ability to work independently; displays willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to environmental conditions.
