We are currently searching for a Material Handler I to be based out of Milford, UT. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this person will package finished PVC pipe in proper crate quantities for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior success as a Material Handler or equivalent position at Atkore International and experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus. Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Confirm product with schedule * Assist with Quality Control duties * Monitor saw cuts * Pipe length * Bell fit * Print line confirmation * Chamfer/Bevel * Reference line spacing * Package finished pipe in proper crate quantities * Weigh and transport finished product * Cut crate boards to proper lengths * Process regrind * Perform cleanup for production and storage areas * All other assigned duties Qualifications include: * Excellent interpersonal and communications skills * Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations * Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization * Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical manner * Must be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environment * Able to lift 70 pounds unassisted * Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system based company is a plus.
