Northrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division is seeking a Manager, Mission Assurance/Quality to join the Ground System Sustainment Contract (GSSC) homeroom team. This position will support the GSSC suite of programs for our nations ICBM and will be located in Ogden UT. As a key leader of the Mission Assurance/Quality team, this Quality lead collaborates closely with Ground System Sustainment Contract (GSSC) Management, SDS Management, GSSC Management and GBSD leadership to provide strategic thought leadership and preventive solutions to ensure the quality of procured material/services and in house manufactured product meet the customer and corporate requirements. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated success leading broad organization changes within cost and schedule while achieving internal and external customer expectations, focusing on organizational and team success. What you'll get to do:
Engage in Proposal Activity, Capture and Kickoff activities to identify Mission Assurance, supplier quality and requirements risks. Influence sourcing strategy to include capable suppliers. Identify proposed requirements capability disconnect. Propose mitigation strategies to minimize impact of poor supplier quality and solution in the requirements disconnect.
Generate bases of estimates (BOEs) for the GSSC Mission Assurance team to assure that the customer/contract, program, division, and sector requirements are met.
Manage budget and collaborate with program management to assure the Mission Assurance team has the budget to cover supplier and in house manufacturing and requirement(s) to include funding for training of the MA Team.
Collaborate with Program Quality to ensure appropriate quality requirements for programs are identified and flown down to suppliers via purchasing documents.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Program, and Factory Quality Engineering organizations to identify and understand supplier quality issues identified in source inspection, receiving inspection and on the factory floor. Collaborate with all stakeholders to drive suppliers to sustained Root Cause & Corrective Action.
Program ownership of supplier quality and program support, collaboration with Division change boards for these systems - SAP, Sentinel, and Supplier Assessment Management System (SAMS).
Collaborate with Global Supply Chain teams to ensure critical supplier are identified and the appropriate quarterly quality performance feedback SAMS is accurate and communicated.
Collaborate to set the strategy to improve supplier performance and ensure supplier quality, regularly communicating program status.
Collaborate to improve division Mission Assurance procedures.
Use data-driven processes to measure supplier quality and program performance to lead continuous improvement processes
Collaborate with Division teams to support Sentinel Alerts process - ensure alerts and process are clearly understood and ensure alerts closure in a timely manner.

This position may have a 9/80 work schedule available. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You'll bring these qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering, technical, business, operations, manufacturing, supply chain or other related discipline
A minimum 8 years of industry experience in Program or Project Management, Mission Assurance, Manufacturing, or Engineering
A minimum 3 years of managing or leading teams in disciplines such as quality, program management, supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing.
Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process
U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret Security Clearance or higher
These qualifications would be nice to have:
Excellent communication and problem solving skills
Demonstrated understanding of the program / product lifecycle in the areas of supply chain management, receiving operations, inventory control, production control, product test & evaluation, root cause analysis, product sell off, shipping and product support as they apply to quality.
