Saint-Gobain Maintenance & Materials Operations Manager in Orem, Utah
The Maintenance Manager is to coordinate the use of personnel, material, and technical resources to optimize equipment and facility usage. Serve as a technical and planning resource to all personnel for equipment, process, and facility needs. In addition, this position ensures parts availability for planned maintenance activities. It is the objective of the Maintenance Materials Manager to effectively manage preventive and predictive maintenance activities in order to increase uptime and avoid the waste associated with unexpected equipment failure. To assure proper cost management of labor, parts and outside contracting so as to stay within the annual budget. Support a safe working environment in area of responsibility at all times and to demonstrate the utmost safety role modelling for all employees. Correct or report unsafe acts or conditions through appropriate channels of resolution. In addition, this position will oversee the safe and efficient operations of the Materials department, and ensure proper schedule and production levels are met.
Plan, schedule, & coordinate the above activities (necessary resources & ensure availability)
Manage Mold Maintenance Department including Process/Tooling Engineer
Schedule and Enter SAP Production Numbers for the Materials Room
Manage stockroom inventories - ensure parts availability within financial guidelines. Supervise Maintenance/Planner Scheduler
In-depth knowledge of maintenance & operations, understanding of industrial maintenance procedures.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and procedures.
Familiarity with electrical applications and should possess a mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of commonly used computer applications and skills
Knowledge of budget preparation.
Excellent communication: listening & speaking, motivating & leading a diverse group of skilled people.
Skills to manage a large staff, including people development.
4 yr. degree in engineering strongly preferred. Will consider other technical fields or an equivalent experience in Industrial Maintenance Management
Minimum of 3-5 years of practical supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility
SAP Experience preferred, and specifically the SAP Maintenance module.
Knowledge of extrusion equipment and extrusion process
Mechanical and electrical knowledge required
Demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental and Security of all employees.
