We are building our first manufacturing facility in the US to compliment our amazing co-packer partners. With over 100 SKUs, we are excited about expanding our manufacturing capabilities.We are a small pre-IPO food manufacturing company that is growing quickly and believes in pushing our innovative approach to great tasting products. We are always looking for new and innovative methods to improve our processes as well as our flavors. We keep our customers in mind throughout this evolutionary process. We believe that our food has a direct impact on people's health, wellness, and happiness...basically chi. We are looking for someone to take things to the next level...that's why we are also looking for someone who can: *Establish operational objectives for production in the areas of quality, safety, productivity, and cost while seeking continuous improvement in all areas (KPIs.) *Work closely with senior management to develop short- and long-term facility strategy to maximize resources and capacity to support overall organization objectives. *Review and monitor results of operational measures to identify areas of success and areas of opportunity in order to control production efficiency, variances, waste, labor expense and other indicators of profitability. *Develop solutions to identified areas of opportunities *Provide reporting managers with the guidance and resources necessary to accomplish established objectives. Continuously monitor progress and results. *Ensure plant compliance with, and adherence to, laws and regulations governing safety, environment, employment, food safety, and other applicable areas of compliance. Serve as liaison between the organization and the government agency during audits, investigations, or other contact as applicable. *Participate in the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes, products and systems *Work with new and potential customers during presentations, tours, and reviews by providing expertise in the area of facility operations. *Find solutions to ensure all of our products are made using the highest standards and best ingredients - carrying out quality control programs to make sure the finished product meets a specific level of quality. *Work closely with stakeholders from other departments to avoid breakdowns in communication between departments *Ensure that the plant is staffed to meet operational needs and develop leadership performance expectations, working with HR to establish training and development as well as performance management standards. *Manage direct reports to include selection, compensation, training and development, performance management, and termination. *Perform other duties as assigned. Required Experience: *Seven or more years supervising and managing departments and individuals involved in powder packaging activities (or other food manufacturing), preferred. We also make liquid products, so that'll work too. *Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of applications; specifically using Word to create and modify documents and Excel to record data and calculate results *Must be dependable, adaptable, detail-oriented, able to work under minimal supervision and lots of pressure. *May be required to work weekends and extended days but that's no surprise.
