Ensure that newly developed products can be produced - manufactured with the current process - equipment and components are correct that will maximize efficiency. Main Job Functions1. Assist early in initial development process to assess concepts and standardize where possible2. Assess bulk powder to optimize tooling, fill tolerances and efficiencies3. Ensure Packaging is fit for use in production4. Perform Packaging sizing confirmations (fill tests, equipment capabilities, die line approval)5. Review initial finished product specs to ensure all criteria meets production's needs6. Work Suppliers to troubleshoot issue and optimize standardize packaging7. Work with equipment and troubleshoot issues with manufacturing and mechanics8. Perform technical risk assessment and make technical judgment based on data experience.9. Assist in resolving OOS packaging issues10. Actively work to reduce scrap11. Make recommendations and pursue beneficial changes in manufacturing processes12. Work with training Departmetn to create, write, and implement work instructions for receiving inspection13. Act as project leader on complex projects as the need arises14. Frequent work is also required in a warehouse environment. Some exposure to noise, vibration, and hazards such as powered industrial trucks, working in high places, exposure to oil and maintenance chemicals. Physical Requirements This position frequently is required to sit, type, hear, listen, talk, stand, walk, and climb stairs. Seldom required to bend, stoop, climb ladders, kneel, reach, push, and pull. Frequent lifting up to 20 pounds is required and seldom lifting up to 50 pounds.
