Stryker’s Neurovascular Complete Stroke Care Manufacturing site in Salt Lake City, Utah is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join the plant operations team.
In this role, you will play an integral part in Stryker’s Global Quality & Operations strategy, bringing your skills and talents for managing Engineering Managers while continuing to delivery manufacturing excellence results.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
You will focus on site manufacturing management and engineering teams through sustainment and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and technologies.
You will develop Engineering Managers to build organizational capabilities, outline strategies for increasing output, developing internal talent resources, creating a diverse & inclusive culture and integrating new manufacturing technologies.
You will manage the central engineering team, partnering with site facilities, employee health and safety team on site infrastructure and safety strategies within the workplace.
You will develop and implement the operational execution plan for the site.
You will ensure Stryker’s Neurovascular devices meet engineering quality, people, cost and service metrics.
You will develop, review and maintain engineering department objectives and “dashboard” metrics are met.
You will communication departmental progress through business unit review processes.
You will ensure the manufacturing organizational structure is fit for purposed and implement and changes using an effective change management approach.
You will execute performance management, provide clear communications and acknowledge recognition within manufacturing engineering.
You will support major continuous improvement program and may be involved in all phases of the project including idea to execution.
You will serve as a manufacturing operations gatekeeper for new product introduction projects and execute successful launches of new medical device technologies.
You will develop and manage department budgets including capital expenditure requests and proposals to plant executives.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Bachelor’s Degree engineering discipline - required
10+ years related work experience - required
5+ years Engineering Management & People Supervisory experience - preferred
Medical Device Engineering Management - preferred
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering or New Product Introduction experience - preferred
Lean Continuous Improvement & Six Sigma experience - preferred
