The Sr Supervisor will lead a test and manufacturing organization. This position is as a systems level supervisor who is responsible for both assembly and test/integration. The supervisor is responsible for cost, schedule, and quality with a high level of focus on continuous improvements. Must uphold L3Harris values and working to a higher standard.
Manage day-to-day activities of the following associates: assembly and test technicians.
Provide operations cost estimates for proposals and maintain accountability for meeting the estimates.
Responsible for operations budgets, schedules, deliveries and product quality.
Lead the application of e3 within the operations organization; lean approach to manufacturing and test; continuous improvement activities.
Support the design and implementation of specialized tooling, test fixtures and assembly fixtures in an effort to continuously reduce overall costs.
Establish cell productivity and safety goals and define the processes to meet or exceed them.
Develop and implement the manufacturing and test processes required to concurrently develop and introduce new products and models from development to manufacturing.
Manage assembly process documentation within the cell
Manage test and integration efforts while working with test and manufacturing engineering.
Work with employees on performance reviews, hiring, personnel goals, and work schedules.
Monitor resources regularly in order to prevent budget over runs and schedule delays.
Interface with other Operations leaders as well as cross functional / cross departmental teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree with a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience or equivalent work experience, Preferably within test and manufacturing operations, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, operations management.
Secret clearance may be required
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Good understanding of electronics and RF
Familiarity with Cost Point
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
Familiarity with ESD environment and regulations
Ability to read, understand, and develop blueprints and complex operation instructions
Detailed orientated with strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Works well with management, peers and subordinates
Ability to interface with the customer including onsite DCMA representatives
Experienced supervising, coaching and developing staff
